Declaration of arrival
Any person who establishes their residence in the territory of the municipality of Ettelbruck,
must report to the population office within eight days to be
registered there.
Documents to be presented:
- a valid identity document
- a family book or birth certificate
- a lease agreement or a notary deed
- the car’s registration document

Anyone who wants to transfer their residence to another country or who changes their domicile in the municipality itself must, before their departure, make a declaration of change of address to the population office. In addition, they must notify the billing department in order to establish the statement of municipal taxes.

Anyone who has changed their home must inform the PTT of the change of address at a PTT counter and possibly make a forwarding request. The Postes et Télécommunications has reply cards for indicating a change of address to all recipients (e.g. banks, insurance and other associations or private individuals).
Remember to write the name on the new letterbox and have the registration changed in the telephone directory (EDITUS Luxembourg SA 208, rue deNoertzange L-3670 Kayl Tel: 4960511)
Your change of address is amended by the municipal services at the State Information Technology Centre and all State public administrations will be automatically informed of your change of residence.

Anyone who owns a vehicle must change the registration document (grey card) at one of the Société Nationale de Contrôle Technique stations (Sandweiler, Esch-sur-Alzette or Wilwerwiltz) or the municipality of arrival (only for natural persons) within one month.
There are no changes to the driver’s licence when changing an address, except in the case of an initial registration in a municipality of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
It is recommended to have your driver’s licence registered for all persons who are in possession of a driving licence established abroad. This registration is made after the first registration with the Ministry of Transport, Driving Licence Office, 11, rue de Luxembourg L-5230 Sandweiler.
