The City of Ettelbruck strives for good environmental quality with the aim of ensuring the health, well-being and quality of life of all its citizens. Waste sorting and awareness campaigns to reduce drinking water consumption are just a few of the steps taken in recent years to work towards a better quality of life.
Ettelbruck has been a founding member of the Luxembourg Climate Pact since 1995.
In 2013, the City of Ettelbruck was awarded the “Fairtrade Gemeng” label.
Through the “EarthCall” project, the municipality commits to planting a fruit tree in Western Cape in South Africa for each student in cycle 4.1 of the Ettelbruck Primary School.
